What expresses identity when it comes to a stylish ensemble? Many would say that it has to do with the clothes you wear, the bag you carry, or the heels beneath your soles, but true identity lies within the jewellery you adorn, whether it’s a watch or a ring, whichever however, they all tell a feature that goes deeper than outer appearances would.

In this blog, I’ll tell you how I came to start Lieberati and why it’s worth investing in fine jewellery.

People define who you are by what you wear, but where conversations really begin is when their eyes wander to the glitz of your jewels. There’s always that moment where you’re bound to share a story about how you came to acquire it.

Was it a gift? Was it passed down? Or did you just had to have it because it reflected your style?

These are moments and memories worth sharing, and one worth cherishing.

I’ve never understood quantity over quality whenever it comes to wardrobe staples. I’ve always liked pieces that were striking yet minimal and chic.

I wanted very much to create something of quality that wasn’t guided by society’s trends, I went from the idea of a womenswear fashion label, to a bespoke menswear label, to wanting to be the next sexy brand in shoes and bags - a collection that would be distinct in reflecting understated boldness made to last, and would always be an essential piece(s) you'd go to for a feel-good look.

I’m not one to follow the latest fads when it comes to fashion, but I definitely have an eye for quality, aesthetics and style.

However, I had to downsize my idea as it seemed unattainable to do without a lot of capital. What became apparent to me was to feel relatable, with a sense of affinity along with discovering one’s vision.

I believe that quality doesn’t always have to be about brands, that essentially we should be able to provide quality (bearing sustainability in mind) by getting personal with our beliefs.

So what’s the one thing that keeps traditions alive, derived from nature’s ground, blends craftsmanship with design, and an essential that one shouldn’t leave home without?

I call it your very own identity piece.

Fine jewellery is not unattainable nor should it seem so, in fact it’s there to invest and inspire. These are elements of style made as finishing touches to an ensemble, much like the process of a knight putting on his armour - adornment made out of precious metal and natural gemstones / diamonds that exhibit elegance, substance and power.

Everyone should own a jewellery piece that embodies their character and distinction. We value possessions much more when there’s been a process involved to acquiring it, especially when they’re made to last, made to pass along.

And that’s where it had dawned on me, at the core of it all, my vision is to build a brand that resonates with daily complementing style and is ultimately intimate, yet holds inherent value.

Join me in creating a new narrative for fine jewellery, diamonds, and gemstones - one that voices your story and celebrates strength, rarity, durability, and heritage.
